The name “thingQbator” is a combination of ‘Internet of Things’ and ‘Incubator’. thingQbator was started as an internal incubator of IoT ideas coming from Cisco’s engineer community. In India, Cisco has set up 5 thingQbator maker spaces as a part of our Corporate Social Responsibility commitments in 2018 through our partner – NASSCOM Foundation. Trident is a CISCO-sponsored thingQbator which is an IoT Incubation Center with a funding amount of 1.2 Crores from CISCO. This is a student
driven center where the students share innovative ideas and utilize the facilities of the centre to bring the idea into the product level by the help of CISCO Support center.
