PROFESSIONAL SOCIETY & CHAPTERS
IEEE PES STUDENT CHAPTER
The student chapter of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers Power and Energy Society (IEEE PES), one of the largest multidisciplinary professional organisations of engineers worldwide, is administered by the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering at TAT. The chapter provides a professional platform for students to engage with global engineering communities and stay updated with the latest technological developments.
The chapter entrusts the institution with the responsibility of promoting the advancement of engineering knowledge and professional development among students, faculty members, and individuals associated with the institution. It encourages innovation, collaboration, and technical excellence in the field of electrical and electronics engineering.
The student chapter provides excellent opportunities for networking, mentoring, and building strong professional connections through shared technical interests. The initiatives extend beyond the institution by supporting local communities while also benefiting the student body through various technical programs and outreach activities. Our students actively participate in this chapter and contribute to its initiatives.
The primary objective of the chapter within the Department of Electrical & Electronics Engineering is to develop strategies and implementation plans for effective technology transition and management. This approach helps students rapidly learn, adapt, and absorb emerging technologies, preparing them to contribute meaningfully to technological advancement in the country.
