B.Tech. (Computer Science in Data Science) – It is a recently introduced variant of Computer Science course. It provides the budding engineers with a spectacular array of courses dedicated to frontiers in the field of Data Science and Machine Learning with a foundation of Computer Science & Engg. This 4-year full-time B.Tech. Program in Data Science rolled out at Trident Academy of Technology under the curriculum of BPUT covering the various topics of Data Science, Machine Learning, Data Engineering etc. It is exhaustive skill-oriented program with adequate practical exposure for making business models for analytics. As data science is one of the fastest growing career opportunities not only in country but globally, with its analysis and statistical approaches it ventures into Data Science, Data Engineering along with machine learning. It is basically designed to provide exposure to the variety of applications that can be made by using various techniques covered under this program.
The Department started M.Tech course in Data Science with an annual intake of 18 students from the year 2024. The department has a good number of faculty members withM.Tech/Ph.D qualification.
In order to cope up with the changing need of the industry as well as academia, the Department of CS DATA SCIENCE at present offers following programme variants with unique philosophies and objectives:
1. B.Tech. in Computer Science & Engineering – B.Tech.(CS DATA SCIENCE) – 60 Seats
2. M.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering – M.Tech.(CS DATA SCIENCE) – 18 Seats
This program will enable the students to understand and master CSE and able them to be specialist in Data Science, which is one of the emerging fields of Computer Science and high demand in the computer science field now-a-days. Data Science is the future of Artificial Intelligence which has grown exponentially in the last few years. The interdisciplinary field of data science utilizes various range of fields that include machine learning, statistics, visualization etc. Data Science facilitates to gather appropriate information from huge volumes of data which in turn allows informed decisions in technology, science, business etc. The B.Tech CSE (Data Science) students will be able to solve various real life problems through machine learning algorithms and numerous Data Science concepts.
