The Department of Civil Engineering (CE) at Trident Academy of Technology (TAT), started in the year 2013 as an addition to the existing stream of technical degree courses, at present offers an undergraduate degrees program of 204 credit points in civil engineering (B.Tech. in Civil) from Biju Pattnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha. The program curricula distributed over 8 semesters is delivered under the able headship of Professor B. K. Mishra – an eminent professor fortified with vast field exposure and experience,in a congenial ambience by a group of highly experienced and committed faculty members with the aim of providing a wide spectrum of knowledge and exposure on various key components of the civil engineering curricula: in fundamental knowledge covering mathematics, physics, chemistry, thermodynamics, metallurgy, engineering drawing, etc.; building up proficiency and exposure in the specialized areas, such as environmental engineering, structural engineering, water resource engineering, etc.

The Department of Civil Engineering adequately equipped with state-of-the-art up-to-date Lab infrastructure delivers the courses by a group of competent and dedicated faculty members and field instructors who help them develop strong and dependable proficiency in various structural design skills which yield them with high degree of confidence in designing effective and efficient solutions to real-life problems. Apart from rigorously drilling down the students with regular classroom delivery on academic curricula as per BPUT guidelines, the department emphasizes on boosting their professional skill, communication skill, inter-personal skill to make them competent enough to understand significance of both ethical issues in Civil Engineering and the importance of Civil Engineering work in the society. In general, as a part of the Trident Culture, students are plugged in with the “Learn with Fun” approach to nurture their intellectual, technological and personal skill development by involving them through varieties of technical and intellectual clubs, and professional societies. Academic environment at Trident is sufficient enough to trigger their mindset for lifelong learning to maintain them as successful Civil that are necessary for success in industry, society and research.
