The Department of Electrical Engineering (EE) at Trident Academy of Technology (TAT), at present offers an undergraduate degrees program of 204 credit points in electrical engineering (B.Tech. in EE) from Biju Pattnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha. The program curricula distributed over 8 semesters is delivered under the able headship of Professor Dr. D. N. Patnaik, in a congenial ambience by a group of highly experienced and committed faculty members with the aim of providing a wide spectrum of knowledge and exposure on various core courses in Power Systems, Control Systems, Electrical Machines, Instrumentation, Switchgear and Industrial Protection, Power Electronics, Electrical Drives, Electromagnetic field and wave etc. The Department, dynamic and vibrant in true sense with adequately equipped state-of-the-art up-to-date Lab infrastructure delivers practical courses like Machine Lab, Measurement Lab, Circuit Theory Lab and Drives Lab, to name a few by a group of competent and dedicated instructors. Apart from regular classroom delivery on academic curricula as per BPUT guidelines, the department emphasizes on “Learn with Fun” approach to nurture their intellectual, technological and personal skill development by involving the students through varieties of technical and intellectual clubs, and professional chapters like IEEE, IET, IETE and ISTE.


With an encouraging last 3 years academic performance track record of 10% with 9 CGPA and above, 20% with 8 CGPA and above as well as the exciting past placement record of 65%, 70% & 73% during 2013, 2014 & 2015 respectively, and with a status of 70% placement during the 2016 current on-going placement drive makes TAT as the first choice for the parents as well as the students aspiring technical studies in core branches of engineering.

The mission of the Electrical Engineering Department is to impart quality education to our students and provide a comprehensive understanding of electrical engineering, built on a foundation of physical science, mathematics, computing and technology and to educate a new generation of Electrical Engineers to meet the future challenges.
