The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering (ETC) started  its postgraduate programme in 2012, with the approval of AICTE and affiliation to Biju Patnaik University of Technology (BPUT), Odisha.

 

The M.Tech. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering programme, with an approved intake of 18 seats, is designed to cultivate advanced technical expertise and research aptitude. Students receive specialized training through expert sessions and industry-oriented modules, including emerging domains such as ARF Design Pvt. Ltd., advanced communication systems, and embedded technologies. The curriculum emphasizes outcome-driven learning, enabling students to engage in meaningful research, scholarly publications, and innovation activities. Graduates of the programme have secured placements in reputed organizations, reflecting the department’s strong academic foundation, practical exposure, and industry relevance.

 

As part of the curriculum, students engage in hands-on projects, internships, and research initiatives that address contemporary challenges in electronics and communication engineering. They gain practical experience in areas such as RF and antenna design, embedded systems development, VLSI design, signal processing, and advanced communication technologies. This experiential learning approach strengthens their ability to design, analyze, and optimize electronic systems, ensuring readiness for industry applications, innovation, and research-driven careers.
