The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering is committed to delivering high-quality education, research, and innovation with a strong emphasis on Telecommunication Engineering. The academic framework is designed to equip students with a deep understanding of modern communication systems, wireless technologies, signal processing, optical communication, RF and microwave engineering, network technologies, and emerging areas such as 5G/6G, IoT, and intelligent communication systems.

A strong industry interface is maintained through collaborations with leading organizations in telecommunications, semiconductor design, embedded systems, skill development, and technology incubation. Strategic partnerships, including an MoU with the VLSI Society of India and membership in IESA, enhance knowledge exchange, manpower development, and exposure to real-world technological advancements.

The Department also promotes professional growth through active IEEE, IETE, and ISTE society chapters, providing platforms for seminars, workshops, technical events, and interdisciplinary learning.

It has established strong industry linkages with organizations such as ARF Design Pvt. Ltd., Marquee Semi Pvt. Ltd., STPI, WSC, CTTC, TSSC, ESSCI, and MICROCHIP.

The department actively promotes professional engagement through three society chapters – IEEE, IETE, and ISTE – and regularly organizes seminars, workshops, and technical events. Faculty members and students are encouraged to enhance their knowledge through NPTEL and MOOC courses.

The students of the department have been encouraged to learn beyond syllabus for enhancing their knowledge through different club activities. These club members are guided by designated members of faculty and meet once in a week to discuss courses and subject domains beyond the university syllabus. These clubs act as excellent platforms for enrichment of skills and knowledge through self learning and “learn with fun”. The students are actively engaged in innovative thinking and ideation on problems, academic challenges and new domains of knowledge through innovation development cell funded by DST.
