NMDC

A National MEMS Design center,NMDC (Center of Excellence) has been set has been set up in the Dept. of ETC in collaboration with IISc., Bangalore under National Programme on Micro and Smart Systems(NPMASS) Program, consisting of MEMS perpetual licensed software worth Rs.45 lakhs.
Dr.Sakuntla Mahapatra (PI) is the coordinator of NMDC.

ESSCI(Electronic Sector Skill Council of India)

  • An MoU has been signed with Electronic Sector Skill Council of India (ESSCI) for skill development of our students on PCB design.
  • The Institute is planning to participate in the STEP program of ESSCI to setup a Center of Excellence on PCB design in collaboration with ESSCI.
  • A National Conclave on “Current Trend and Future Scopes of PCB Design in India” has been organized on 06.10.2018 in the Institute.
  • Student summer training programs have been conducted on PCB design by Industrial experts.

Microchip

Microchip Centre of Excellence is inaugurated on 9 th November, 2018 in Trident Academy of Technology, Bhubaneswar by University Program Manager Jagan Jothivel .

Microchip has funded amount Rs. 12 Lakhs (Software and development tools along with some recommended Hardware tools).

Microchip’s Academic Program demonstrates our ongoing commitment to support the education of the next generation of engineers. Microchip offers unique benefits and resources for educators, researchers and students worldwide. Its partnership with academia is intended to increase the awareness and knowledge of embedded applications and inspire students to become the innovators of the future. It provides Resources for educators, researchers and students.

TSSC(Telecom Sector Skill Council )

3 MOUs have been signed with Telecom Sector Skill Council of India for COE- Smart City Technology, Skilling HUB    Regional Center of TSSC and TSSC Student’s Club.

A Centre of Excellence    Smart City Technology have been established in collaboration with Honeywell and Ericsson in the Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering on 29th September 2018.

Cisco-ThingQbator

The name “ThingQbator” is a combination of ‘Internet of Things’ and ‘Incubator’. ThingQbator was started as an internal incubator of IoT ideas coming from Cisco’s engineer community. In India Cisco has set up 5 ThingQbator makerspaces as a part of our Corporate Social Responsibility commitments in 2018 through our partner – NASSCOM Foundation. Trident is a CISCO sponsored ThingQbator which is a IoT Incubation Center with a funding amount of 1.2 Crores from CISCO. This is a student driven center where the students share innovative ideas and utilize the facilities of the centre to bring the idea into the product level by the help of CISCO Support center.
